Stacey's condition Aug 31,2006

12:00 noon Stacey is back from surgery. She did very well and all vital signs are good. The good news is that they removed the rest of the fluid from around her lung and it inflated fully. The doctor also told us that the it was just fluid and did not appear to be infected. They sent a culture out to be tested to make sure we should know in a couple of days. They are not going to do the trek today they plan on doing the it tomarrow. We really want to thank everyone for their help, support and expecially their prayers. At the bottom of this posting (directly below this paragraph) you will see the word "comment" in the light blue. Stacey's condition Aug 30, 2006

4:30 p.m. Stacey scared us pretty bad today. While we were waiting for the surgeons to take her in for her chest she became incredibly pale and her breathing became very labored (like she was running). Her spleen had ruptured and she was bleeding into her abdoman, they rushed her into surgery and removed her spleen. She is back in her room now and the surgeons say that she did very well during the surgery. All her vital signs seem to be returning to normal. They are moving the surgery for her chest to tomarrow. And are delaying the trek until after that.

Aug. 29, 2006

5 P.M. Im very sorry for being so late today, but I wanted to wait untill I had all information to but in. Stacey did not have the trek but in today, due to they found out some more problems, the lung that was colliped has a real bad infection in it, to were the lung is collecting fluid in the skin and the sack below the lung, which has collected alot of bacteria, which is making Stacey very sick, and preventing her to use that lung fully. Thursday they will go in to do surgery, on the lung to try and drain all pus and fluid and try to help the lung expand futher and normally. But there is another issue after this, they say duing the proceeddure that some of this infection will get in her blood stream and she will being getting alot worse, but they or going to take sample so they can find out what bacteria it is and start atibotics as soon as posible, but unfortunally it will already be in her system before they find out which is why she will be getting worse before she gets better. Thank you again for everones support and please pray, the next few days are really going to be hard for everyone.

11:00 A.M. Today Stacey is running a fever again, she has been running one all night. They are having a little trouble getting it to come down. They put two cooling blankets on her today to see if this will help. Picker the Nerou. doctor came in and said he thinks she may be reacting a little more, but untill she starts doing things over and over he can not be sure. They were going to do the trec. on her today but with the fever they said they might wait another day to see how the fever goes. I will try to update alittle more this afternoon. 7 P.M. Things are about the same with Stacey, they are still working with the fever, and she is doing little as far as movement yet, but this could be due to the fever. They said tommorrow at 2 P.M. they will go ahead and do her trek. So please keep the prays comming tommorrow will be another bumpy ride.

Aug. 27, 2006

10.00 A.M. Today Staceys vitals are looking good, last not the nurses were doing her hair in braids she was not very happy about this. I know this is hard for everyone to understand when I say that she is moving and all you would think she is awake. And I agree its taken me the last few days to figure out what exactly is going on with stacey. Stacey is not in a comma they say it is referred as a head injury which she will move to pain or fever or stimulation as far as someone touching her. With a head injury it kinda like the baby shake sendrome where the brain has been seriouly shaken up and the brain remembers things like pain and lets the body react to it. In staceys case the brain has not recovered from the injury and trama to it so when they go in they are not getting her to respond like to small compands like raise your finger, or hand, or stick your tonge out just small comands, they say its going to be a while for her brain to repair itself as far as everthing going back to where it belongs to where she can reconize everthing it like she is dased. They say its pretty well up to her. This to me seems for internity, and I know for everyone I hope this helps explain a little. I want to Thank everyone for all the kindness and cards and just everyone being there for me and ray, I could not begin to thank you all for all your kindness at this time, just please keep the prays a going because it is working the good lord has got his work cut out for him on this one and its going to take time, but she has come a long way so far and that is good in all aspects. Thank You All Again.

Stacey's Condition Aug. 26, 2006

12:45 p.m. Today Stacey seemed to be moving a little more this morning, but at the same time she started running a fever again, the doctors said her white blood cell level was comming down which means the antibotics are starting to help. They seem to belive that she was in pain again so they give her some more pain medication, which has calmed her down and has brought down her heart rate, and her blood pressure.

10:00 a.m. The doctor fixed her arm yesterday and it seems that it helped some of her pain. They found out that the fever and high heart rate is from pneumonia setting in. They have her on two antibiotics for this and say we should see an improvement in a day or so.

Stacey's Condition Aug, 24 2006

As of today at 1 p.m. Stacey is in surgery for her arms, Stacey seemed to be moving around a little bit more today. Will update after surgery. As of 7:30 p.m. stacey is out of surgery. They only worked on the broken arm. She is running a fairly high fever and the nurses are working with her and have brought it down most of the way.

Stacy's Condition, Aug 22, 2006

Stacy is still unconcious and in critical condition. They are trying to ween her off the ventillator but she is still dependent on it as of now. The doctors have taken her off of sedation and have lowered her pain medicine in an attempt to wake her. She is moving more but as yet is considered nonresponsive. She still has the chest tube in her side for her lung but there are plans to see if it can be removed in the near future. Her spleen was lacerated in the accident but is contained and the doctors have decided it is best to leave it to heal on it's own. She has a bruised kidney and adrenial gland but kidney function is good so they are keeping an eye on it but are not concerned. The tentative scedule is that on thursday they are going to work on her left upper arm to set the bone and close the wounds. stacy's condition for Aug 21, 2006,,,,trying to wake S.J 's up . have taken her off of sedation for now.She is still on a lot of pain medicine,,, She has a broken L.arm(Humerous(left arm), collar bone,, 2 wrist fx's.,,intra-craniul swelling is stabilized, but still critical. Dr's are trying to ween her from ventilator RAY AND KIM COVET ALL PRAYERS AND APPRECIATE YOUR THOUGHTS !!
