April 14, 2007

3:30 Well we have hit our Eight Month mark it does not really seem that it has been that long, sometimes it does and other times it doesn't. Well we got our approval for Ranken Jordon they was really pleased to see her Wednesday when we took her up there even tho she was not very cooperative for them. But they comended me and Ray for her muscle tone that we was able to keep up on her, they said that makes it easier for them this way they can start right away on getting her on her feet sooner. They said usually when they get kids that have to be at home like Stacey they have to do a lot of work for toning them for walking. They were very positive on us and again gave us an A for all the work we have done with Stacey, also they commended New Haven School and Mrs. Moloney for all there time and effort that they gave also. It made me feel really good to here them say all they did about us, I was always so worried if I was doing things wrong and that it would hold her back when it was time for her to go back to rehab. but we did good so she will be able to move along faster. She is only going to go three days a week Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays from 8:30 to 4:00 p.m. until she gets more use to them and she gives them her trust. So we start Monday I will be taking her this week and make sure she makes the adjustments ok before I leave her on her own. We go Tuesday for the MRI on her arm so that should be another interesting day. But I am really pleased with Ranken they have all she needs even a swimming pool were they will be working with her on her rehab. I am pleased and know that they will give her every chance that she needs to get back on her feet and to get back into society, I'm excited. Well I always thought that Stacey would be the one to break something on me but I was wrong it was her wheel chair, Wednesday when we was getting ready to take her to her eval at Ranken I loaded her wheel chair in the back of the truck when I went to shut the top of the wheel chair down I slammed it down on my finger, it made for a long day because when I was trying to transport her and show them how she does things she would grab that finger, but I finally went to the doctors yesterday and they took x-rays and they told me I broke the tip, they want me to go to an orthopedic but there is nothing they can do besides charge me 120 dollars and but my metal pieces on it and say it will heal in time. But lets but it like this I won't be making another mistake like that again any time soon. Thursday we also received her walking stand we have been playing with since we got it we leave her in it 10 to 15 minutes a couple times a day and she has been doing good as far as taking steps in it but she starts getting mad at us very quickly, they said her chair and the rest should be here in a couple more weeks, but this week has been another blessing for us, I just hope all keeps going well so until next week. Thank You and God Bless.
